Peter Pentz

Peter Pentz is a third-generation member of the Pentz family, involved alongside his father and grandfather at their family wine estate, Groote Post. After completing his degree in Communication at NWU Potchefstroom Campus he embarked on a successful career in the communications agency industry, where he work with some of the country's leading corporate wine brands.

He joined the family wine estate during the week the lockdown was announced, quickly making a significant impact by streamlining all company communications and implementing effective e-commerce strategies amidst the pandemic.

Currently, Peter oversees the brand's communication and marketing activities. He is also a prominent voice in the industry, regularly appearing on major TV networks and radio stations, including BBC, CNN, and eNCA, where he shares his expertise on South African wine. In 2022, Peter was recognised as one of the most influential individuals under 30 in the South African Wine Industry, earning a spot on Wineland Media's prestigious Top 30 Under 30 list.

In addition to his work at Groote Post, Peter serves on various agricultural industry councils, both as a member and chairperson. He is also a sought-after speaker and master of ceremonies.
