Groote Post's The Inheritance Pinot Noir was awarded a prestigious Double Gold medal, the only Pinot Noir to receive this recognition. Additionally, Groote Post’s Seasalter Sauvignon Blanc and Merlot earned Gold medals, cementing the winery’s reputation for crafting top-tier wines that exemplify the unique terroir of the Darling region.
The Inheritance Pinot Noir is a limited release of just 1700 bottles and marks the first time in a decade that Groote Post has released a Pinot Noir, now part of their Inheritance range. The Double Gold win highlights the significance of this special release.
Lukas Wentzel, Groote Post’s winemaker, expressed his excitement about the award: “The Inheritance Pinot Noir has been a passion project for us, and releasing it after a decade was a significant moment. To have it recognised with a Double Gold, and as the only Pinot Noir to achieve this, is an incredible honour. Wentzel also spoke about the Seasalter Sauvignon Blanc and Merlot, which both secured Gold medals: “These awards are a reflection of the dedication we put into every bottle.
