As part of CapeWine 2025, Sauvignon Blanc South Africa hosted a launch function on Thursday evening, 11 September 2025 on the 28th floor of FNB Portside in Cape Town to introduce their new book. "The Story of South African Sauvignon Blanc" explores the vibrant diversity of the Western Cape's wine regions, the pioneers behind the cultivar, and the unique terroirs that shape each bottle. With insight from leading experts and winemakers, this book offers a captivating look at a cultivar whose identity continues to evolve.

The function also saw the launch of South Africa's first Sauvignon Blanc aroma wheel, developed by researchers at Stellenbosch University and Sauvignon Blanc SA.
